We have curated a list of great places muslims can visit in Lagos to enjoy the holy month of Ramadan with friends and family in Lagos.
These places are important to everyone of us and I am sure Muslims living in Lagos might know them already.
Lagos Central Mosque (Jama’Atul Central Mosque)
The Lagos Central Mosque is located at Nnamdi Azikiwe Street, Tinubu, Lagos Island, Lagos.
The central mosque is an architectural marvel in the heart of the city, Lagos. The minarets are well built to perfection.
It is well lit up during the holy month of Ramadan.
The central main dome has excellent carvings of Islamic importance.

It was established in 1892 and designated as National monument by Nigerian Commission for Museums and Monuments in 2013.
The mosque is named after its founder Sierra Leonean-born Nigerian, Mohammed Shitta Bey, who was philanthropist and businessman.
Lekki Central Mosque
Lekki Central Mosque is the first purpose-built mosque in Lagos and opened to the public. It works with other mosques throughout the city to help and represent Muslims from every background.
As one of the most recognised buildings in the city, a large number of people visit it throughout the year, including the media, schools, colleges, universities and also individuals who wish to learn more about Islam or pray. It is claimed that the Mosque is visited 5,000 times every week by Muslims.
Sited on a 1.3 Hectares of land, the Mosque complex consists of a 2000-capacity main bowl, a 15-classroom Madrasah, a functional library with over 2000 books and e-book facilities, 5000-capacity Eid prayer ground, a 150-capacity ablution centre, a 1000-capacity multipurpose hall, 3 semi-detached flats which serve as Imams quarters and guest house, 2 service boys quarters, and an administrative office equipped with modern technology
Lagos State Secretariat Mosque
The architectural masterpiece is located in the secretariat of Lagos. It has a large deposit of the Qur’an. It is the place where the Lagos state Governor and many Islamic faithful government officials says their friday prayers. It has an ample parking space and can contain a lot of people.
Its also a good spot to learn more about the religion of Islam as there are scholars readily available for such purpose. The mosque has a very vast expanse of space which makes it conducive for worshipers who throng there five times daily as well as for the Friday prayers.
Syrian Mosque Ikoyi, Lagos
The Syrian Mosque is located at 13 Ribadu Rd, Ikoyi, Lagos .
